How to continue to renew itself when the Olympic Sailing Games have existed since 1900? This is the issue that was raised in 2016 by the IOC to Word Sailing, the world governing body for the sport of sailing. The goal? Bring modernity and dynamism to sailing events.

4 years later, it’s official: mixed relay kitesurfing will be part of the 2024 Olympics! the President of the French Sailing Federation spoke recently: “We are delighted and happy with this decision. Kiteboarding is a very current, modern, and spectacular discipline. It will attract a young audience to our sport ”.
